Botkin Chiarello Calaf is growing its practice with the addition of commercial and intellectual property litigator Angie Carrera.

A 2023 graduate of the University of California College of Law, San Francisco, Angie served as the co-chair of the Latinx Law Student Association and staff editor of the UC Business Law Journal. Before entering private practice, she interned at Indeed and Clorox, where she worked in the regulatory, privacy, and intellectual property spaces. Through her internship experience, she developed an understanding of data privacy and internet law, including various California privacy laws and the GDPR.

“We are excited to welcome Angie to BCC,” said name partner María Amelia Calaf. “Her intelligence and strong work ethic make her a great addition to our team.”

During law school, Angie’s interest in IP led her to the Fordham Intensive Fashion Law Program, where she studied the intersection of business, IP, and the fashion industry. Her capstone project proposed an alternative dispute resolution system to protect haute couture from fast fashion knockoffs.

In her free time, Angie enjoys bodybuilding, baking, and painting.
