Experience
Travis Maples focuses on commercial litigation, from contract claims and trade secret litigation to Public Information Act disputes. He has experience in both state and federal trial and appellate matters.
Before entering private practice, Travis spent three years clerking on Texas’ highest courts, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and the Supreme Court of Texas. His clerkships honed his legal writing skills, helping him distill complex and nuanced issues into concrete arguments, and his more recent experience in and out of the courtroom helps him bring a pragmatic and grounded approach to the needs of his clients.
While at the University of Texas School of Law, Travis served as associate editor of the Texas Law Review and provided pro bono legal services in the law school’s Domestic Violence Clinic.
Beyond his professional life, Travis has a passion for drumming, bouldering, and Dungeons & Dragons.
