Four Botkin Chiarello Calaf partners have been honored with another year of recognition on Austin Monthly’s list of the top attorneys in the city.

María Amelia Calaf (MAC), Katherine Chiarello and Asra Syed have all been named to the publication’s 2023 edition for their work in civil litigation. Leah Bhimani Buratti was included for her work in intellectual property rights.

“We’re honored that Austin Monthly’s voters have selected four of our attorneys as the best in Austin,” said Botkin Chiarello Calaf managing partner Jennifer Rappoport Colimon. “These attorneys truly deserve every accolade that comes their way.”

Botkin Chiarello Calaf, which launched May 1, has already made headlines. Earlier this month, Katherine argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on behalf of seven Llano County library patrons in one of the nation’s first public library “book ban” cases to be heard by a federal appellate court.

Leah recently authored a review of jury data in Waco patent trials, which was published in Law360. She also spoke at the Travis County Women Lawyers Association seminar, “A Day in Federal Court,” explaining the ins and outs of both local and federal pleading rules.

More details on Botkin Chiarello Calaf’s activities and awards can be found on the firm’s news page.
