Botkin Chiarello Calaf Welcomes Appellate and Business Litigator Ryan Bates

Botkin Chiarello Calaf is expanding its commercial disputes and appellate practices with the addition of Ryan Bates as Senior Counsel. Ryan has handled a wide range of commercial litigation and appellate matters in venues in Texas and across the country, including cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, and Tenth Circuits, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ryan’s experience includes representing clients in the energy, tech, real estate, finance, and construction sectors, as well as utilities and governmental entities before trial and appellate courts. He has worked on numerous cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, including successful petitions for certiorari, briefs on the merits, and amicus briefs.

Ryan graduated from Duke University School of Law, summa cum laude, and completed a clerkship for the Honorable David M. Ebel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Before law school, he earned a mechanical engineering degree from Rice University.
